If wii sports can't do it... maybe FE:PoR can...

I already got sorta bored of wii sports, so I got out fire emblem. I finally got past chapter 17, the longest chapter in the game I think. So after that chapter, everything was different... and the game was just better somehow. I don't know if it was the music change... or I got better.. or all the new units I got or what. So I'll probably be playing that for a while now. Who knows, It might even last me until Christmas.

If anyone cares (bul :p) I'm at whatever chapter the enemy opens floodgates and you have to arrive at a building to close them.

Fire Emblem's always fun. I've played the gameboy version only, and it got a little insane after a while...

Every morning now I pop in FE, instead of playing wii sports. Thats what I used to do... until I got stuck. I don't know why, but I only play FE in the morning, hardly ever at any other times. Maybe I'm better at it by then, or maybe the sleeping makes me less angry that I can't beat it, and not make me want to throw my controller across the room.

Fire Emblem: PoR = Best GCN game ever made

Wii Sports can get a little boring, yes, ESPECIALLY in singleplayer... It doesn't have a lot of depth, so you may want to play a more epic title... Like Twilight Princess or Path of Radiance.

But I like to play PoR in the evening... I get that "epic" feeling.

:p

Wii sports is really only fun when you have someone to play against, and even then it can get dull after a while. Although I'm sure Nintendo wanted it that way...sorta...because they'll want you to be bored of it so you'll go out and buy other games.

Whats PoR stand for...? I'm not really a big FE fan...

I only tried it once at night, so I forgot what It was like. I think I'll go do that now, but I have to turn the computer off because of all the dang Christmas lights blowing the circuits.

@Gengar, PoR=Path of Radiance

I'm at chapter 22, the one with the priests being held hostage. I keep making stupid mistakes like leaving Rhys out in the open, or some other stupid things. I'm done for the day.

Yea that game was pretty hard for me so i stoppped playing it for along time and then a couuple months ago i picked it up and beat the game i guess i needed a little rest. It is a great game if you dont have it pick it up or at least rent it.

Heh, yeah, it can get frustrating if you do something like that... Especially multiple times. This is the only flaw I can find with the whole Fire Emblem series; if you're not careful, frustration ensues really quickly, and it can really make you want to reach for the power button...

RE4 > PoR. I have both, as do you Bulerias. Come on, you KNOW RE4 beats it out by a long shot.
I also have both, and as good as RE4 is, PoR is better, in my opinion. The epic feeling in PoR beats out the horror feel in RE.

What!? Horror happens 24/7 in RE4. Turn based battles don't exactly instill an epic feeling. Only the cutscenes do.

No, no, not turn by turn battles, but the overall feeling of the game, the cinematic flair... The music, sound, graphics, and gameplay all add up to present the epic feeling I'm talking about.

I'd rather have an epic game rather than a horror game anyday, although I'm a fan of both genres.

I'll agree the music is just awesome, as is the cinematics. I get all fuzzy inside when I play it. But I just can't get over the pure awesomeness of defeating Krauser, or Salazar, or kicking a Gando off of you as it grasps your neck, or the feeling of satisfaction when you throw an Incendiary Grenade into a horde of villagers, or fire a rocket launcher blast into the heart of a town meeting. The amazing story, characters, and cutscenes seem to outdo the fuzzy feeling in my stomach.

I guess I'll allow you to have an opinion, though.

I have both of those games, and they are both great... but I think I agree with Pokefab, I just love playing mercenaries on the village, my favorite stage. But for right now, I'm playing PoR because I haven't beat it yet.
