Deep Sea Prisoner
I feel kind of pathetic for coming to a game forum for help for such a serious and personal problem, but then again none of my friends helped and I want advice from the most people possible.
My grandma has Alzheimer's disease and it's destroying my household.
I live with her and my mom, dad divorced mom mainly because he couldn't stand grandma, and mom lost her job because of how much she had to skip work to take grandma to psychiatrists.
Grandma insists that she has caries in her teeth despite the dentist confirming her teeth are perfectly healthy, and she complains about it all day long. All day long mom reminds her that she's okay, but due to the disease grandma always forgets it and starts complaining again.
It's too much for mom. She loses her patience more and more everyday, now she screams and hits my grandma when she won't stop. I fear that she will become depressed, break down due to the stress, maybe even become suicidal.
She can't even leave grandma in a senior citizens home because those are too expensive.
I want to help mom, but all the screaming, moaning and crying gives the house an atmosphere I can't stand. I can't bear to hear them, to look a grandma, to see mom breaking down, I can't be anywhere but in my room, with the door locked and loud music so I won't hear it all.
What would you do in my place?
