IG Communication

Is there anyway to communicate besides the IG text? This is very frustrating to say the least (my wpm on pc is like 105).

I want to say thank you, ask questions, and communicate about different things but that takes like 3 minutes alone. Not to mention you have to stop mid sentence while the other player responds. So I find myself using emotions. This is plain out archaic. Any ideas?

If you have NSO Online and the NookLink app you can type messages on your real-life phone to send in-game.
