Ignore, got my idea solved!

I want to try to give more care to my old 3ds xl and give it a change. Right now l have this Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild skin on the front console. But l was wondering if spray painting it bright red, but of course l should remove the skin first. Another reason of getting rid of the skin because l don't like BOTW and l'm only a fan of the other Zelda games. So should l spray paint my console cover bright red or keep the original color which was shiny bright blue and remove the Zelda skin? Or just leave it alone. Just thought of a new idea that l could get Persona 5 stickers to put on my 3ds xl when it's bright red and that's another idea l have.

If you were to spray paint it, it seems like the only way to alter that scheme in the future would be to spray paint it again. I've never personally done it before, as it strikes me as potentially being a little harsh on the console. I'd be way too scared of accidentally spraying the camera or something I'm not supposed to! If you wanted to change the colour to red, perhaps you could remove the Zelda skin and add a red skin instead?

You could always still add Persona 5 stickers on top of the skin as well. If in the future you don't want those stickers anymore, you'd just be peeling them off the skin/replacing the skin rather than messing with the actual surface of the console itself.

well what l was planning on doing before spray painting the 3ds, was to remove the cover by unscrewing it and so l don't have to worry about the camera or getting the inside.

Maybe you can buy another skin or faceplate instead? So if you change your mind down the line you don’t have to risk spray painting the 3ds again

Ah I see then yeah you should remove the face plate & spray paint it if you really want the red! my only concern is the stickers staying on with the spray paint/clear coat

Oh that part l take off the skin, it's very easy and doesn't leave sticky stuff behind. All my other friends on discord said l should make my console red! So l made my choice and l spray painted the console plates and also because everyone on here said red and that's what i'll do!

Yes l did! I love most of the Persona games, but red is my favorite color so l did P5. Would be weird if l added P3 stickers though but l will think about it with P3 ones.

Wouldn't acrylic be easier to use?

I guess you could always get a red faceplate if you're not really sure about making the change in the long run or if you want to sell the Zelda skin (no idea if people buy that).

oh acrylic will mess it up if l'm painting the body of the plate. It will be good to use for small patterns but not for something really to cover up big. Also it won't be smooth looking when it drys. But l'm already done with my 3ds now and Zelda skin can't be reusable. Skin stickers are a one time thing to use. Ty for an idea anyways!
