This sounds so behind and late to the party but I have no idea how to landscape. How do I start? What do I do to achieve it? Are there any tutorials?

Make sure you buy all the permits first from the nook stop once you unlock them. That will enable you to lay down paths and have access to terraforming so you can make cliffs and waterways. In terms of how, there are plenty of videos on YouTube that are helpful so you can check those out and go from there. :)

This is a drawing tool that you can use to help draw out landscaping ideas. Look at various island tour videos for inspiration, and draw out an acre or two on this website and build them on your own island, and you'll eventually start getting better over time.

Using Nook Miles, you want all the tools—water and land—with also the need for patterns. It will cost more than 20,000 Nook Miles in total. If that is a problem…take them on gradually; with approach to prioritizing according to what you think you will more frequently use (like dirt path).

One thing you can do is really look at your map for the grid lines. Every island has a river end on the south side. The second river end will also be south or it will be either east or west. So, in keeping this in mind, the grid may help you to determine layout (like how to make use of flowing rivers).

The more you get into it…the easier this will come.

All the best to you!
