Well, I forgot to post on the forum that I would be gone for two and a half weeks. I went on vacation to Italy and Greece. Lots of walking, history, and I have jet lag, but it was very fun. I might post a whole detailed thing later, but feel free to ask me questions, or whatnot.

My favorite work of art was either Bottecelli's Birth of Venus, or Michelangelo's sculpture La Pieta.

It's amazing how young the United States really is, when comparing it to ancient ruins. Ephasus was fascinating.

Wow! How was Greece? I really enjoyed learning Greece's history and mythology... Did you see anything related to the ancient gods of Greece?

Also, my brother is wondering if you managed to learn any Italian while there.

A fair amount of mythological things. We went to the ruins of Delos, where Apollo and Artemis were supposedly born. A fair amount of temples to Greek gods and the like. Greek mythology is awesome.

As for learning Italian.......nope. I learned "Uscita", which means "Exit"

It's a fair amount like Spanish, so I could pick out bits and pieces of it. *Knows broken Spanish*

What food did you eat?
Food. For breakfast over there, they have lots of bread and rolls and things. Lunch, we had sandwiches usually. Dinner, we had some pasta, and some pizza, whatever looked good. My, food is expensive over there. For the 1st 10 days, we were on a cruise of the Greek islands, so we pretty much ate a lot, and starved in comparison for the rest of the trip. But we were fine.

That sounds really awesome, I wish I could go. Greek mythology has always fascinated me... Must have been great walking through all of those temples where many of the Greek legends were born. It's like experiencing history all over again!

Yes, it really is fascinating. I'm a big fan of Greek and Roman Mythology (Same thing, different names), so the ruins were all really cool. Both because of their age, and you can imagine what it might have been like back then, two thousand years ago.
I actually prefer Greek mythology as opposed to Roman mythology, even though it's the same thing. For some reason, I think the names were a bit more appropriate and elegant in Greek mythology. But no matter... Visiting the ruins must have been a great experience...

Maybe I'll be able to go someday...

Also, Tri, it would be cool if you could write something in-depth about your trip, maybe throw in a few pictures.

:)

Funny thing, I was just wondering why you've been gone. And, as Odd said, you're here in time for Tide!

:p

And it seems a lot of people have been going to Italy, Propaganda Man, and a few of my friends.

Glad you enjoyed it.

I think he said he was in France.

I dont really believe in Greek Myths since it took so long ago that there really is no proof other than ruins and it was too far back for most people to even correctly remember. I mean, it doesn't have a widely popular text, like the Bible is for Christians.

But it sounds like fun. I always wanted to travel to Europe. I mean, I've never left this continent. <_<

I'll get around to that in the next few days or so. Too tired to do that now.
