ok so im thinking about this idea and wondering how many folks would be up for this? what im thinking is that because i have so many items in my inventory and i plan on selling them that i would offer a touch trade for folks once ive gotten all my things on the ground. touch trade not to Take the items, but to just pick them up and put them back down so they will appear in their residential service.
good idea? or bad?

You can if you want. Helping others is always fun. However, do keep in mind that catalog events are often slow here. Slow in number of guests participating and the duration for each group.

If you would like to continue with your idea of hosting an event, then I would suggest setting up some ground rules. Even in well prepared events things can go unexpected.

thank you! thats sort of what i was curious about really. i dont mind it being slow, im just concerned about folks showing up and stealing said items...not that it matters much because i can get them all back anyways but still! any suggestions would be helpful there; is there somewhere on this forum that they give guidelines on how to go about hosting such an event? ive never done anything like it before.

I've seen a few events like this! Some people lay everything in fences or distinct areas and only let one person in an area at a time. Another thing you can do is only allow a limited number of people at a time. This helps your connection to stay stable and makes it easier for you to keep track of everyone coming and going. You can also have a rule where people have to come with empty pockets, so they don't accidently confuse their items with your items. I'd throw in a code word for them to put in their request to come by, that way you know if they read the rules to come over or not. Hope this helps! Yeah, preventing people from stealing stuff is a bit tricky.

• First thing first, before starting an event run through your island and put away any valuables, or box them in.
• If you have multiple sections, keep them organized and away from each other. I didn't do that earlier today, and someone took (probably on accident) some rugs that I had placed.
• Pretty much what Foreverfox said.

i might have said rugs lol! which ones were they? ive bought a ton of those plus wallpapers in bulk most of the time from saharah so i might be able to replace them for you.
