Hey everyone! Just popping by again, it's been a while since I've been here but I just wanted to let the community know I've currently doing web development for a solo project for New Horizons. I'm not sure if this has already been approached yet, but would love to see if anyone else is working on one already.

Let's get started shall we. You can find my last updated mockup on my domain @

That's right, it's called Bell Exchange

Basically what I want to do with this application is, since ACNH will have up to EIGHT (wow!) concurrent players in one town, I wanted to create a place for the community to group up using a system I call "Sessions." It's essentially just a grouping up system for users to conduct trades, visit islands, etc!

I've mainly been looking for feedback and suggestions for future features. I have most of the base setup done, currently I'm working on setting up the database. Again, the live page is just a MOCK website! I will be replacing all the assets as they were just used to aid in the mockup/examples. Anything such as logging in, registering, creating sessions, chatbox may and shouldn't work yet. I previously had a database running (using SQL Server) but decided to merge to MySQL since in the future, I'll have everything streamlined to one host (and this host didn't have SQL Server provided!). But on my testing environment, everything works pretty well with my database setup.

Anyways, that's all I have for now. You can find more information on the site in News. The second I watched the Direct for ACNH, I knew it was time for me to get back into the community so here I am now. Hopefully I'll be able to finish this project before March 2020 (I already have the base part done, so just mainly adding features and redesigning tables).

I think this is a super neat idea! I look forward to utilizing it once ACNH comes out!

Once I finish moving into my new job, I'll get the database running so people can try out the functionality.

Love the Idea, if you ever need an administrator or mod I would be happy to help be one!

very cool!! i'm looking forward to seeing this up and running. c:
if you ever decide to 'open up' your project, i'm a young learner who'd be excited to learn some more practical programming! good luck, looks like it's going to be great.

That reminds me to work on the functionality for mods, but that'll be towards a release build. Currently I have a team in mind already but I'll definitely let everyone know if I decide to open up.

Currently I haven't decided to open source the project. One thing I can definitely do is compile all of the material I've learnt, blog style as a way for everyone to get an idea of the process I've went through from applying my own history of knowledge, to learning new things.

You might need to change the wallpaper, isabe and lotte are obstructed
That's actually just an image from an artist I was using only for the purpose of mocking the site. In the future I'll commission an artist for a more fitting background. The problem is that these backgrounds need to be dynamically resized depending on the window size (phone, desktop, tablet, etc) which I have some ideas for.
