Hello! I'll give you some advice for raising your approval rating.
The best way to raise your approval rating (besides upgrading your tent to a house) is donating to the museum. You can donate fossils, fish, bugs, and real artwork from Redd (Redd usually makes fake artwork, but I've gotten one that is real).
