There are some phrases a lot of people on this forum use, but I don't understand them. These are the ones I don't get:
In boxes
Cycling
Voiding
Adopting
Dreamies

Cycling: I didn't know this at first. Its just having another copy (usually) or using your game to get villagers out for people for free! Its like a continues villager get-out. They "cycle" villagers out.
Voiding: When a villager is in boxes and the next day they are gone. They just went to the "void."
Adopting: Since a new feature came, (as well as the dreamies.) you can now pick up villagers in other towns that are in boxes.. If you talk to that villager (without 10 villagers and you haven't had them/did the 16 villager cycle) and they will tell you about going to nowhere? And you say: "come to my town!" and they will go to your town.
Dreamies: Villagers you REALLY WANT.
I hope thats understandable I didn't know what Voiding, Dreamies, and cycling we're at first.
In Boxes is when a villager has all their boxes packed and is ready to move.
Cycling is when people TT to make villagers move out, and then they give them to other users for free.
The TTing usually involves going back and forth a couple days.
Voiding is when you might have a villager up for adoption, say Clyde, and no-one wants them, so the next day they will be gone and in the void.
Adopting is where you will visit another persons town and go into the villager's house who is in boxes, then you would talk to them and they'd ask whether they should move in your town or not. You would say yes and then you would have adopted them.
Dreamies are villagers that you would like in your town. Some may have 10 dreamies some may have 2.
In boxes: When all you can see in a villager's house is boxes and they don't leave their house all day because they move the next.
Cycling: When you make a villager move out and give the person to a user for free.
Voiding: When a villager is up for trade and they move the next day to who knows where because nobody said they want them.
Adopting: Bear_Crossing's definition is good.
Dreamies: Bear_Crossing's definition is good.
Also voiding is used in an instance where you didn't realise a villager was moving, and so they got "voided" as you did not have the chance to give them to anyone
