Hello, everyone. My name is Animal Crossing Addict and I am new to the forums. I like this website and I joined here since I love Animal Crossing, both GameCube and Wild Worlds. Let me tell you what this topic is about.
Ever since last year in July 2006, I have been very busy working on a new full length motion picture live action movie about Animal Crossing called The Animal Crossing Project. I got the ideas to make a movie about Animal Crossing sometime after the anime movie was announced. I thought "If they can't do it, then why can't I?" Thinking up on ideas at first for the movie was kind of hard because I didn't know what the film should be like since Animal Crossing is a real life-sim, where you do stuff you would do in normal life, like talking to people, walking around, making new friends, ect. Then I thought - what if I could make it a mockery of the games? Then that's what I did.
Ever since last year I have been working very hard on it. I have had a lot of problems with it but also a lot of fun, mainly I had all the problems with it since I mainly worked on all of it with Windows Movie Maker. Luckily I now have Sony Vegas, another video editing software that's 100 times better.
The Animal Crossing Project is a mockery tribute movie based on the Nintendo GameCube version of the Animal Crossing games only. It is now my fourth full length feature film that I have released, besides all my other ones that I have made since 2006.
I started working on the movie on 11 July 2006, and I finished it on November 4 2007.
I go to another Animal Crossing forums and a lot of people really seemed interested about this project, so that's why I came here to also talk about this film. Maybe I can show everyone the movie when I release it next week.
In the movie, if you see a scene that has the 9am music in the background, I actually filmed that scene at 9am. The Movie evolves around a 12 hour period (plus extra) from 8am to 8pm (plus extra). From pulling weeds, picking and grabbing fruit, changing shirts, writing letters and even special appearences from other Animal Crossing characters such as K.K. Slider, The Animal Crossing Project will probably bring joy to all Animal Crossing fans around.
I think that only fans of the Animal Crossing games will enjoy this movie the most, since mainly people who like Animal Crossing will understand this movie, get all the jokes, and know what is going on. This is film that is only based on the Nintendo Gamecube version of the game, NOT the DS Version.
The film is released on November 17 2007 on the internet for public enjoyment. I will post a link here if people want to see it. In the mean time, why not enjoy these few trailers?
