I'm really happy new horizons doesnt have amiibo locked content

I'm talking about how I knew me if they had a whole wide variety in the items and you couldn't really get them without having an amiibo scanned in and you got the item from the RV.
And I'm happy they have not had any region locked content.
Save for the sanrio items but we don't count that one here

Um I would not say so. The items that you can from Sanrio villagers are amiibo locked content. The only want to get those Sanrio items is by trading with someone else. Even if you have that item it will not be registered in your catalog meaning that you can't buy it from Nook Shopping.

Well there is more. You know those special NPC villagers photos? Well there are some that you can't even get in the main game. You need to have the Happy Home Paradise DLC and you also need to have NPC special amiibos in order to get their photo. For example I made Wardell's vacation home and when I was done by the next day I got a letter in my mailbox that shows I got Wardell's Photo.

Yeah, it has some little things such as the Sanrio stuff, some HHP items and a bunch of fruit items, but it's less than NL. NL had stuff locked behind amiibo, regional exclusive things, DLC stuff and behind HHD save data.

I don't mind a lot that some promotional stuff is locked behind amiibo like the Sanrio items, because that comes with the marketing deals, but I hope it keeps being a limited amount of items.

I'm glad there's little locked content as well. I'm even more glad that it seems there's no one-time internet exclusive dlc, like there was in HHD. I'm still disappointed about missing Maddie and her school supplies set.
