Hello friends! :) I'm sorry if a thread like this already exists.

I got my terraforming permit and it's pretty overwhelming but it's also super cool. I noticed that the cliffs are easy to shape how you'd like them, but my rivers look very artificial and too "clean", like perfect rectangles and squares, which I do not want as I want a structured but natural look to my island.

Whenever I try to reshape them, I end up accidentally burying the water instead of rounding it off. Maybe I'm just not digging in the correct space? I have tried head-on and from the corner. I did notice it randomly rounds off (to a small degree) sometimes, so I was wondering if anybody had any tips or pointers!
Thank you! :)

try shifting the entire river once space to the left, and then back :) the more times and ways you do this the sides will be bumpy

I'm struggling a little bit too, but what I've been doing is just standing at different angles and "cutting" the same square different times to see what it does differently each time. Argh it's hard to explain... I'm sorry, lol.

The way to get rounded river corners is as follows:

[L][L]
[L][L]

These are four units of land.

You must FIRST dig out a river on the side AND bottom of the corner you want rounded.

[L][R]
[R][L]

Then, you can put the rounded edge in.

[rr][R]
[R][rr]

(r = rounded river)

If the corder is not surrounded on two sides by river blocks, it will never be rounded.

So, example of something that won't produce a rounded edge, with the bold indicating the newest dug unit:

[L][R][R]
[R][R][R]
[L][R][R] **this doesn't work because the dug unit only has river on the right side of it.

And an example of something that will produce a rounded edge:

[L][R][R]
[R][R][R]
[R][R][R] ** this does work because the dug unit has river on the right and bottom of it.
