Okay, so, this head is officially my very first piece of digital art ever. I'm not sure where to go from here. I had a lot of trouble using the tools and trying to control what went where. I also used a phone to draw it. My traditional art is usually better detailed and cleaner, etc.. So I guess advice on how to use certain tools to get different effects would be great.

I'm possibly going to do one more.
I'm also interested in drawing somebody else's character (preferably ACNL). The style is subject to change, as I'm really just experimenting right now. I don't expect payment because I know I'm very new to this and I need to work on a lot. I will accept an optional tip if you enjoy the finished product, but again, this is very optional. I once said I'd do something like this before and dropped the project because I accidentally deleted it.

I will choose which character I want to draw in a few hours, so anybody can place a request on the character they want drawn. If it takes too long for anybody to respond, I'll just assume this is utter trash and take it down out of embarrassment (I'm already pretty embarrassed, as this looks so medicore compared to drawing with a pencil...)

hey sweetie! your art looks great, have more confidence in yourself! what program did you use to draw it? Paint Tool SAI is the easiest for beginners, although the customization settings can be pretty confusing if you're not used to it. i'd like you to draw my character if you don't mind! c:

Thanks, I just didn't know what to expect because I haven't done this before. I was getting pretty paranoid because it looks so different from my other art. I don't have a computer or a tablet, I have to use my phone. I just downloaded the best rated drawing app I could find - MediBang Paint

I understand where you're coming from, though.
showing off your art for critique is stressful if not
also very taxing on your emotions. however, I

but none of them are acnl ocs quq sorry!! but, if that's all

I'm really glad you mentioned "semi-realism take on cartoon" because that's really my signature style. I thought this turned out much more cartoony than my usual work would, so I'm glad you see the hint of realism. I don't want to be like everyone else and draw in just an anime or chibi style. I'm one of those people has never learned how to draw, I just always let my hand lead the way and don't even think about it. That's the style it always seems to come out as. But oh, wow. Drawing on a DS seems like it would be very difficult.

Really? Okay Once I a gather a bit more drawings I'll do that. I also really need to work on getting things done in about an hour or two since I don't have much free time in a day.

D3athsdoppleganger's OC. I decided against adding the scarf since I'm only drawing heads right now. I struggled a lot with the two-toned hair, so I would have liked to have made the hair a bit more proportionate than it is, but I caved.

Honestly, I think the main reason I didn't give him a scarf was because I drew a mouth before I even thought about it and I loved the mouth so much that I didn't want to cover it up. Haha.
