Is an island journal helpful?

Okay, so I’ve been finding it hard to focus on getting anything done on my island. I have projects piled up and it’s rather off putting, getting on knowing everything I still have to do, the chores and routine.

Lately though when I’ve been playing, when I can bring myself to actually play, I’ve been taking a lot of pictures and trying to get in the mind set of that version of Azzy. Seeing her perspective on the island and her daily activities. It’s something I tend to do as a writer rather easily and without trying to. Anyways I figured that maybe writing her adventures and posting her pictures might give a new spin on the game and maybe bring the spark back?

if you think it'll work for you, i'd say go for it! you could at least give it a go and if it doesn't work then it doesn't work. but i think it will - the journal could be a kind of way to keep yourself accountable for making progress on your island, plus doing it in the way you want could keep the creativity flowing if it's something you genuinely enjoy and want to keep up
