Can't believe the new episode of doctor who premiers tonight, it's been a long time coming for me personally. I've been waiting for this episode for a good while now, and i can't wait to see how Jodie Whittaker plays the role of the doctor.

Is anybody else watching tonight? Feel sorry for everyone not in the UK, but i'm sure you'll be able to watch it somehow.

Watch it and please do let me know your thoughts and feelings on tonight's ep!

Hello I watched it!!

I used to LOVE doctor who, I was a big fan from the start of series 1 (chris eccleston), but I kinda lost interest when Capaldi took over (oops).

Thought I'd give it another go with Jodie Whittaker and she was brilliant! Thought she channelled a bit of David Tennant :D

I watched it a couple days ago. I loved her. She’s got that childlike wonder and boundless energy like David Tennant, but she’s not a carbon copy of him either. She definitely has her own unique personality and I’m really looking forward to her taking the lead and carving out her own identity.

Another thing I love is that so far they’re not making a huge deal out of her being a woman now. She’s just a new iteration of the doctor, and shaping up to be an incredible one too!

Glad i wasn't the only one who watched!!

Yeah i absolutely loved Eccleston, i so wish he did more than one season because i really enjoyed him as the doctor. Yeah Capaldi's doctor wasn't the greatest, but there were deffo things i liked about him for sure!

Yeah i didn't mind the first episode, Jodie was very quirky and was also giving me Tennant vibes! Thought the 2nd episode was a bit lackluster but i'm looking forward to future episodes!!

Yeah she's very similar to Tennant, but quirky in her own way which is great! I'm overall impressed with her interpretation of the doctor, and i'm excited to see what she does in future episodes :)

Yeah i feel like it's a good thing that they aren't constantly bringing up that she's a woman, there's a few mentions but it's not overkill. It seems natural to just continue as if nothing ever happened and that there wasn't a gender swap lol.

I agree about the second episode, parts were good but other parts I felt a bit bored :(
And as of yet, I don't feel any attachment to her companions! (except bradley walsh but I already liked him haha!)

I bloody loved Bradley Walsh on the chase, so i was so excited when he was announced in the cast. Although Graham is a bit of a square who complains a lot, but he has his charms i guess!

Also i will be disappointed if when they are chasing aliens and Bradley doesn't say "and the chase is on". An opportunity will be missed if he doesn't say it lmao

i haven't watch it since tennant since i didn't like matt smith's doctor, i really like capaldi normally but i think the writer's didn't do him justice or something because i watched like two episodes of him and got bored but i'm actually really really enjoying jodie! nice refreshing break and she seems genuinely funny and zany without being over the top! i loved the seriousness of eccleston though, he was so good, i miss season one so much aha.

also i love the companions from what i've seen so far, i was genuinely giggling at some of the dialogue, i love having numerous companions i hope they all stay lol

Oh i see. Yeah i didn't like Matt Smith as the doctor at first, but he grew on me slowly! Yeah Capaldi had so much potential but the writers didn't do him justice at all. Although there were moments where he had good scenes in doctor who! Yeah Jodie has so much potential, so i hope she does well!
