I'm so excited for the new updated guide and personally can't wait to get my hands on it and learn things that I maybe never knew.
Is anyone else planning on purchasing it?

Estoy muy emocionada por la nueva guía actualizada y personalmente no puedo esperar para tenerla en mis manos y aprender cosas que tal vez nunca supe. ¿Alguien más está planeando comprarla?

I haven’t heard about this, but I’d be interested! This game has so much to offer, and I’m still learning things after 3 years!

I won't be. That's just because I feel it's a little to late in the game's lifetime for it to have any importance to me. I did buy the first edition that released alongside the game. I'll buy the official guide of the next game when the time comes too.

I won’t be. I typically don’t purchase guides since they’re just bulk and I don’t necessarily need them. It’s a minimalism thing, lol.

i wont bc i already have another guide and it is basically the same thing lol

edit: my spelling sucks

So is this like an official magazine guide? Kind of weird that they waited so long to release something like this. Should've dropped this in November 2021 with the final 2.0 update.

No, because it probably won't contain as much information as what has already been datamined. Most AC guides contain inaccurate information. Compared to past AC games, there have been more people looking through the game's code to determine how things actually work. That's how we have things like Meteonook which are actually useful and accurate.

Considering you can find out everything about the game through a quick, free Google search, I won’t be buying it. It’s nice if you’re a collector but I personally wouldn’t use it so don’t really see the point.

This is my take on it too. I can just google whatever info I need. Plus, like JKDOS said, it's kinda late to the party to have any sort of relevance.

I used to love guides like these when I was a kid, I bought them for my Pokémon games back in the day - but that was before I had access to the internet. If I need information on animal crossing I just google it, I don’t see any personal value in buying a thick printed booklet two years after the game was relevant to me, just so it can collect dust on my shelf. I understand the nostalgia of it, but I would have to agree that it’s a bit too late now that the game doesn’t get updated or improved any further.

I don't buy guides for two reasons.
1. Updates.
This is the main reason why I would never buy a guide today. Multiple things get added to games in bits. Multiple changes(or tweeks if you prefer) are made, even small things.
In ACNH for example, some things were changed which could have been left alone just fine impo, such as the peacock butterfly spawn rate I think even the tarantula spawn rate too. Some Nook islands were removed for some reason. There were other changes I noticed that was different from launch, rendering some of my hand notes pointless. There were more changes than I thought there would be, wish I knew and I wouldn't have bothered with notes.
2. Internet availablity.
I have internet now. It's not the main reason for not buying guides, but it's an added reason. Something I didn't have growing up, or it was limited when I had access.

Yeah with the access to internet, guides are really pointless now. There's that one random chance it could be useful if your internet was down. But what are the odds that both it being down and you needing said information at the same time?

And totally. Some of the patches didn't make any sense. I think they also got rid of some of the hybrid flower islands and I remember the butterfly rate being lowered.

I am buying it, but I personally love physical copies of books. I see these guides more as collector's items/coffee table items.

It is worth noting Future Press (the company releasing the 2.0 guide) makes the best physical guides out there, full stop. That's why they take so long (that and they aren't a huge company). Their out-of-print Dark Souls guides go for hundreds of dollars on the second-hand market for this reason.

But I agree that the info is readily available on the internet for free, so ymmv.

If it is an super extensive guide with every bit of detail, then it might be nice. Not that I would buy it. But like having a guide for all the furniture, clothes, ect. Where to get it, what villagers will unlock said orderables at HHP. and so forth.

But more than likely it will be basic. And so people will still have to go to the web to find what they are looking for.

It's going to be almost 700 pages. Idk if it will have ALL that you mentioned, but it's certainly possible with that page count.
For reference: I have Volume 1 of their Elden Ring guide and it's a thick boi at 500 pages.

I might for a collector’s item, but that’s about all.
I don’t use guides much, but Animal Crossing is one of my favorite game franchises, so I do collect merchandise of it.

Oh is it a physical copy or online? I didn't even know this was a thing it probably will not come to Australia or I will have to wait a few years till it comes to stores :(
