I went to another town to get signatures on a petition, was only able to get 5. Several other kind people tried to let me come to their towns but now I am getting an error code: 018-0511. I went to the nintendo site and typed it in but it was no help.
I mean it's weird because I am connecting to the internet, I even used the dream suite without a problem, but I can't got to another town by train. I get to where you pick a town and he says a train will be arriving soon let me prepare you for departure and then the error comes up. I did try turning the wireless button on the ds on and off and resetting my router, no luck.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks to everyone who tried to let me come to their towns.
That's weird. I heard that sometimes you can get errors if you are carrying a piece of customized furniture, maybe that's the problem?
I always have pretty good wifi so you can try to come to my town if you still need some signatures.
I get this error from time to time, its usually random for me. Like once someone invited me to take one of their villagers (that I really wish I had right now!) and every time I went to get on the train, Porter would be like "how exciting! the train should be here any minute now" and the little blue circle would start rotating, then I would get the error and have to try all over again. It kept happening (only with that one person) so I gave up. Another was when a friend came to my town, he would get in for about 5 minutes then we would get an error. I would have to save as soon as he came in for that reason.
No customized furniture,i wish it were that easy. I tried to go to like 3 or 4 towns and it wouldn't work. Someone tried to let me in again earlier but same thing. I'll go give it another shot.
What I heard: You can try resetting your 3DS, or your wifi router. If that doesn't fix it, it's on the other person's end. Resetting my 3DS worked for me, and other times when the host restarted their 3DS connecting ended up working. I hope this information helps in the future! -Although I'm not 100% sure it's the real meaning of the error-
