Is anyone planning on getting the upcoming Korean version of Animal Crossing New Leaf?
I would really appreciate seeing it and getting any regional exclusive items such as the hibiscus and any DLC and taking pictures in the event photo boards, just for completionism really as Europe's game doesn't look like it's gonna offer up much in the way of exclusive holidays.

If you are, please tell me your Korean 3DS code. My European 3DS code is in the sidebar.

This is a good idea!! I would seriously consider it -if- the 3ds wasn't region locked... :( I'm guessing it will only be for Korean 3DS' though... :(

I'm not getting the Korean version, since I don't have a Korean 3ds, but is it okay if I still add you? Koreans have been region locked before in past games and unable to interact with other versions (eg. Pokemon, but that has since changed) and it would be interesting to see if the Japanese and Korean versions can connect with each other.

I was wondering about getting the Korean version of the 3DS XL bundle, if I could find one cheaper than the Japanese bundle.

I don't personally own a Korean 3DS, I just want to see it. I'm guessing that all versions of NL are connectable like LGTTC, but I just want to know people with all versions of the game- and I have Japanese, American and European friends with it.

I have some of my american friends on my japanese 3ds with there american 3ds.

If you have the Korean version, or are planning to get it, add me. But I'm not personally gonna get it because I'd have to get another 3DS, which kinda sucks. Damn region locking! I want Nintendo to fix that because it's really kinda annoying. But, on the other hand, I can get all European event items on my 3DS just by changing the language, so....

If you can't find anyone here with a Korean version, try Club Tortimer when you have your game.
I just made a Korean friend on there. ^^ If I manage to get any Korean items, I'll see if they are orderable.

Whats club tortimer??

If you buy the papers on the island, when you go by yourself, for 50 medals, you'll have access to Club Tortimer. Club Tortimer lets you play on the island with random people over the internet. There are also some items that can pop up for sale on the island that are exclusive to Club Tortimer.

Not everyone is nice, but most people are. I met a compelete arse today on there. :/ Thankfully you can block them from ever being on the island with you again and if you start a game and sit before they do, you can leave them behind on the island. :p

Cool posibility! (to get in touch with gamers from all around the world, not even to have their code, and then could get befriended)

Did you get the friendcode of the korean player Mint?

Yes, I got her friend code. :) She left afterwards since it was 3am her time. xD; I have her added.

Korean characters don't show up on a Japanese 3ds (in the friend's list). Her name shows as ???. Japanese characters do show on an English 3ds, so maybe Korean will too.

Korean shows up just fine in the game though.

Thanks for the explanation! I just got it a few hours ago. I'll try it out later tonight to see how it is. It sounds really fun so far! :D

Haha, I'd like to see that. What country were the rude people from? Hopefully they weren't Japanese since those are the people I hope to be on wi-fi with. Maybe, I'll try out some Koreans too.

He was from Japan.
Only Japanese, Koreans, and importers are on CT.

What did he say that was rude? :p
So far, I've only seen Japanese. All the Japanese people I've played with knew basically no English. I could communicate with them a little bit, but most of the time I was angry at myself for not being able to have a conversation with them...

If he said anything rude, I couldn't understand it. He chased me around with his net and tried to catch the bugs before I did. If he caught them, he would stand next to me and let them go. He followed me everywhere, so I started hitting him with my net which started a net fight that lasted 10 minutes before I blocked him and managed to ditch him by playing a minigame.
