Is Celeste always on your island during a meteor shower?

I’m currently having a meteor shower (also announced by Isabelle this morning) but I can’t find Celeste anywhere. This is my second time having a meteor shower and the first time she was there right before it started and she gave me the wand recipe. I really want other recipes from her but I’ve been around my island multiple times, quit and restarted the game twice, and I can’t find her. Are there some meteor showers where she doesn’t appear? Did I need to find and talk to her before it started?

Edit: I have no idea if this affects the appearance of other NPCs but Flick is on my island right now.

I have the opposite happening, she showed up twice without a meteor shower.

^^ same. both times she’s shown up (tonight included), there’s been no meteor shower

Celeste shows up when there is definitley going to be some shooting stars at night. She should be around somewhere if it was said you are having a meteor shower o:

Do you know if Flick being on my island would affect her showing up? I’m not sure if there’s some kind of NPC limit lol

I dont think so, last night I had her and saharah at the same time
Maybe it's just a glitch on the games part?

She only showed up once for me and there wasn't a meteor shower >_< I wish she would show up more often and that there were actually meteor showers because I've been seeing everyone talk about how they completed all their goals in a single day from them. Also the furniture that is made from the stars is really cute!

She showed up for me and I had no meteors all night, and I played for a LOT of hours that night. :/

She’s in my town right now. I got the wand recipe but no meteor shower... I need like 5 wands too.
