Is Duping Hacking?

Okay guys, Psychonaut says that duping items on CF is hacking. Is it or not? Answer on the poll, I personally think it's not.

Actually it is a hack in the game.

Oops, I forgot to post this; there are 2 ways to dupe; hack duping, and normal duping.

Hack duping: Pick up an item, say hack code, and item is duped.
Normal duping: Drop items in friend's town, go to gate, talk to Copper, e.t.c...

again, depends on who you ask, but on this board, duped items (along with hacking, but that's beside the point) aren't allowed to be traded/talked about.

P.S. I didn't make this thread against you, I saw your post on Davidk's Duplication Party thread, and I just wanted to see who else thinks it's hacking or not.

Absolutely not, but it's still cheating. Hacking is when you change the coding in the game through a 3rd party source, like the Homebrew channel. The duplication glitch is an exploit.

I can dupe all you need is a friends town and the item to dupe, that's all.

Do you know what hacking means? You're not getting into the games system and getting unlimited bells or changing your town and characters and such.
Duping is a glitch, You're not actually getting into the system.
But they're both cheating but in two different ways, Think about it.

How you Dupe Items (without hacking)

Duping your item(s)-<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">Open your gate. Get a friend to visit. Give someone your item, then get them to drop it off back on the ground. You pick that item up again. Then they will leave the town without your item, but keep your town open (never close gates) then you get them to come back. They will have the item.</div>Is that hacking? No.
