Does anyone else think it’s weird when your villager sends you a letter that says “thinking of you” accompanied by a skeleton or gravestone recipe? Kinda threatening lol

Lazy villagers mention having a clown inside their walls. On some conversations, it's somewhat implied that they've been stalking you while you're gone.

This game can be pretty creepy.

Definitely, but it’s also kind of darkly funny. Like when Flora said the fossils were “great at this ‘being dead’ thing”! Idk…it’s even funnier when cute cuddly animals say stuff like that.

I always carry some dread when the lazy villagers send you that dinosaur fossil poop and they mistaken it as toffee or something.

Personally, I think it's funny mixed with feeling horrified with the skeleton/tombstone gift giving. My normal villagers like to give me tombstones a lot, lol.

I never looked too much into the letters I received. I just think the letters are friendly and have no hidden meanings.

I've had cranky villagers send me letters saying things along the lines of "thinking of you" and then gifting me a skeleton or a anatomical model
I don't understand it but I don't think the weird letter/gift thing has any meaning

I doubt it has meaning. The pool of items the game selects just sucks. As if it was intentional.

I shook a tree at my island once and I got a skeleton.

Sasha sends bugs to my basement so he learns about me. Says he never would have guessed that, but says its funny and they like visiting my house..

Sherb says his bug friends like my basement, he hopes he doesnt mind if they stay, but then tells me that tjey might keep inviting their friends. So Ill have lots of friends to play with. Then says he hopes I wont replace him as my friend if the bugs move into my house. Because ill be to busy playing with them to go out o-O

I guess you get creeppy dialogue now and then. Theres a reason I call Sasha and Sherb my creepy duo. I only got those once. But uh... They took me off guard. I like creepy stuff though.

I love when games use RNG in dialog like that because sometimes really funny or creepy things come out of it that makes you lol keeps things interesting.

I love the RNG failures. I once had a villager earnestly tell me they picked out an item because it reminded them of me and my style, and then they were like “have a men’s toilet!” Delightful.

haha yeah. i don’t think my villagers are secretly threatening me or anything or that there’s any meaning behind it, but it’s definitely pretty silly. even though it’s not really creepy, my personal favourite is when a cat villager gives me a litter box as a gift... like why?

It's like when my normal villager in NL told me my room complimented my personality. The room was completely empty...

I think villager dialogues are preset and they don’t mean anything. You would have gotten that same dialogue if your room had one item or ten items. That would explain the stale dialogue and lack of personality in the villagers.
