Is it no longer possible to get Louie?

Not a huge fan of the gorillas but I love Donkey Kong and really wanted Louie. Is there no way to get him?
I already got Felyne and when I tried getting him as DLC through the 3ds, it's just telling me there aren't any available right now.

No, is not possible anymore. Every DLC villager in this game has a deadline. Maybe Nintendo will release the dlc villagers as amiibo cards for wave 4.

That'd be smart for Nintendo if they did. Right now you can get any missed items through scanning an amiibo card that someone put the items on. But there's no way to get DLC villagers if you miss them. I'm sure a lot of people who missed them would buy the cards if they could get them.

Ahh, I see. That's my loss I guess. Maybe I'll get him someday. At least I got Felyne.

I know it sucks, I missed the horse (Can't recall the name) that had the 7-11 items, I wasn't too concerned about missing the villager, but I plan on trading for a card with the 7-11 items on it since I missed them, as well as hopefully the items from the first competition with the giant cake and candy house.

...I figure for wave 4 they'll do the original e-Reader villagers (50), any remaining NPCs (like, none)...and then something else to fill the other spaces...so the DLC villagers would be a perfect addition! (WITH the furniture, of course!)
