Is it possible to pay the first loan in bells and not Nook Miles?

5000 nook miles for me is too much. I want to pay in bells. Is it possible?

Can you convert bells into nook miles? I heard when you move more villagers in you give nook around 1000 bells and he gives you 1000 miles once the villager is fully settled.. can you do that before the first loan?

I don't think so. I think that is how the game is programmed. Getting Nook Miles shouldn't be too difficult from what I've heard from some reviewers.

It's not possible. It's expected to be paid in miles.

I'm not yet there in the conversion of Nook Miles to bells. Also, on your first loan, your only option to pay is thru nook miles

Only miles for the first loan unfortunately. Makes it tedious but you'll get to it.

It'd be more tedious if you had to gather 40k Bells for it, IMO...

I've been playing 20 minutes and I'm already nearing 3,000 nook miles, lmao. It's not tedious at all! Just fish and catch a few bugs, give 5 creatures to Nook for Blathers, craft a bit etc, and you'll make miles in no time.
