I had plans to get some of my villagers through scanning their amiibo cards eventually but reading about all the glitches is scaring me.
I don't have online play yet so I wouldn't be able to adopt from anyone anyway but has anyone experienced glitches when kicking out the 10th villager to invite one from an amiibo card?

Yes, it seems the only risk is if you are adopting a villager from someone else's town. You should be just fine to use your own cards on your own game

Okay, that's good to know.
Though I'm really shocked that Nintendo would leave a big issue like this unnoticed. Trading villagers was really big during New Leaf days after all. It's not a new mechanic.
