Is Katie's Amiibo Card Rare?!

well I mean I got 3 from a Japanese box

different regions, but the card distribution can't be that much different, right?

I'm not saying this is a fact or anything, but supposedly, none of the cards that come in the packs are considered rare. This is because while some people may be more lucky/unlucky than others, everyone supposedly has the same chance at getting a certain character. The only cards that may later be considered truly rare or collectible later on are the cards that can only be obtained through special methods. For example, the Amiibo Festival exclusive cards. The characters on these cards are not rare, but those variants of those characters may be, because they are pictured differently. Those three characters, Stitches, Goldie, and Rosie, all have special hats and are wielding tools. Another example is the special Isabelle card that came with a certain magazine that only released in Japan I believe. It's still the same Isabelle, but her pose or outfit is different. When you use these special variant cards in games, the characters appear no differently. It is only the image on the card that is different. These cards I mentioned still aren't considered rare last time I checked, but it would make sense that these special variants have less prints then the normal ones. There are most likely more card packs than there are game bundles, since the game comes separately, and that Isabelle card is only obtainable through that one issue of thatone magazine. Unless of course you purchase from resellers. I hope this helps someone out if they bother to read it. <3

did you buy all your cards from one store? it helps if you go to multiple from my experience. when I went to only one store I kept getting a lot of doubles

Yeah I think that might have been my problem! I got a fair amount of doubles.

That has nothing to do with it. I got my first 18 packs at Target and had surprisingly few doubles.

I bought a full box from one store and 5 NPC were doubles or triples. Those were NA cards.

Japan cards I had problems finding Booker. Found him in a NA package.

I feel your pain. I've been trying to get a Timmy amiibo card since I got the game and still no luck. He's the only SP left in Series 1 that I don't have.

Pretty much this, in one un-opened box of cards there is at least one of every character, now I don't know if this is FOR SURE but from all of the un-boxings I've seen it's been true, even for my un-boxing I got one of every single character from that series. So everyone has the same luck buying from a pack from a store because they're all randomized and each "set" has one of each in it.
