Probably an odd question to ask since Pokebank has been out for quite a while now. Like a lot of people, I downloaded it for the free trial when it was first released purely to transfer some pokemon over to my pokemon X game. Now, several months later, I'm going through my old games and I find many other pokemon that I still want to transfer but didn't get around to doing. Only I know it's about ?5 a year to keep (unless it's changed since then, has it?) So I just want to know if it's worth getting.

Also, does pokebank work with ORAS? I'm getting AS for Christmas but it'll be a pain if I want to send pokemon from X to AS without an extra 3DS of some description.

Many thanks everyone!

You can transfer between ORAS and XY. Not items however. I'd say it's worth it. Must be in a dark place if 5 bucks is too much money for a year service..

Absolutely worth it for what's offered
look at it this way

you can buy a 3ds game for around 40 bucks
whereas you can buy pokemon bank for the same amount of money and have it for EIGHT years

Yea I'd say it is. Though you can just put pokemon on gts in one game and give that pokemon in the other game but it's time consuming. I managed to do 5 pokemon in 30 minutes which isn't much

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to get it.

Also, I know ?5 isn't that much. But right now in the family it kinda is. It's rather a long, personal story to explain why, so I won't really say for those reasons. But thanks for the help regardless everyone.

So very much worth it. The last storage games we had were Pokemon Box: Ruby and Sapphire which was a full price Gamecube game and My Pokemon Ranch, a $15 dollar WiiWare title.

it is, especially to help complete your pokedex by transferring from your pokemon b/w game or x/y. $5 is so worth yearly.

I would, but...
in New Zealand it is...
$8.50 //cries//

If it was $5 then I'd buy it ASAP and transfer like hella crazy

I just bought it today to transfer my Charmander to ORAS. I got both games for xmas and I am so happy with them. At first I was disappointed, but now I'm happy to have the games and the pokebank. I beat X and Y and it's nice to have all the pokemons from those games accessible

I find it worth it since I have boxes containing one of every pokemon and all my shinies etc. that I have gathered from past games since GBA, and I have no intention of replacing them all.

TL;DR if you have lots of pokemon you don't want to reobtain, get it. If you have one or two pokemon, just use another 3DS or friend/forum user to trade it.

I bought it shortly after the free trial came out and expired and it's been a lifesaver on numerous occasions. I have many older games that I have done many transfers from as well as transfers between my 6th gen games X, Y and Alpha Sapphire. The price to pay is really nothing if you plan on using it a lot or at least often like I do. But if it's just to transfer over 10 or so Pokemon it's not. In that case I'd say try to get a friend (if it's transferring from an older gen) or even somebody here on the forums for between the 6th gen games. So it's really about much much you think you'd use it.

Although if you have that one special pokemon you have to transfer and find it worth $5 + tax to get just that one pokemon on your most current game then go right ahead lol. Ideally though in that case it really isn't worth it.

I had Pokemon Bank. It was a dream come true because I got to transfer my Feraligatr to my main games. I also had bunch of Totodile and Croconaw if I started a new game. I always want a Totodile on my team, so it?s useful in that aspect.

I even hacked my Pokemon Emerald version at the beginning of the game to get a Totodile. I played through normally, but I needed my favorite evolution line. :)
