I joined up like 3 years ago and got out of AC, just curious as to how active this site still is? Its always been special to me

It'll explode when they announce AC for switch ^-^

It was a lot more active when I joined. But it's not even as active now as it was last year (when it was even less active than it was when I joined).

Somehow, this has a negative impact on the TBT Marketplace and the Easter Egg Hunts (fewer people finding the eggs to each clues).

Sometimes, speculation and pre-release times are more active than when they are already released.

There also might be a possibility that people will be disappointed in what Nintendo offers for AC on Switch. Like it might not be what people expect, or they might not think it'll be just as fun, etc. Especially with the releases of Pocket Camp, Happy Home Designer, Amiibo; those games weren't exactly popular. Hopefully, Nintendo will continue what they have done with the main series of AC. And I'm sure if AC on Switch does seem interesting, it'll increase Switch console sales as well. I know I'm probably going to buy a Switch just for AC and Splatoon because I doubt they will make an AC game for the Wii U as well xD

It was more active when I joined, but I've noticed a serious decline in activity. In the past maybe four months.

Right now, it's been almost 5 years that the latest mainline Animal Crossing installment, and there isn't a single announcement of any sort for the next entry. Of course, the activity for each community pertaining to that franchise is at their lowest, yet TBT still is nowhere near as unfrequented as the vast majority of its alternatives.

The activity would grow further starting the moment a release date for that game has been announced, and reach at its peaks a few days or weeks following the software's launch day. The communities will remain highly lively until the one year anniversary of its newest installment, at which point the game's popularity would spiral down at an increasingly faster rate. That is, assuming large-scale DLCs won't come regularly enough.

It's about to be VERY active since I AM BACK. :,) Hi, all!

Like others have said though, TBT is just down in activity due to no new AC game. TBT goes up and down.

did the mobile game bring people back at all? i got bored of it pretty quickly but now that they've been adding more stuff i can't bring myself to play it again either. really the only thing that'll bring me back is animal crossing for the switch or a big revamp on the mobile app (more interaction with friends, etc.)

I guess those that actively plays it, but I'm kinda lowkey on that since all they do is adding dumb events that require you to bug others for flowers lol...
