this thought came into my head and it is really making sense; its simple, yet complex enough should you want to get really into it. you could pay to choose which villager's home to design or select from the provided ones

what are your thoughts?

it could also be desert island escape and puzzle league though

The app could be anything atm. We don't know really anything about it yet. I'm hoping they talk about it during e3 but we'll have to see about that. Cross your fingers!

The options I see are:

.it connects to either New Leaf, HHD or a possible new game on either the 3DS or Switch.
.it is an entirely separate bigger game
.it is an entirely separate smaller mini game type of game (like desert island escape)

i really cant see the effort and budget being put into a big, classic-style AC game that isnt on switch (or 3ds for that matter since theres never been more than one main series AC game on one platform)

that may just be me not wanting it to happen

i dont think itll be a port at all, itll probably be some small simple game that probably connects to the next game, and i dont think itll connect to new leaf because its just so old and probably doesnt have the capabilities to do so

I'm just praying it's not like those horrible mobile games where you tap on a character or something and wait with a bunch of microtransactions (cough simpsons tapped out cough)

They might expand the two mini-games ( the fruit puzzle, treasure island) into mobile game. I wonder if they bring in Amiibo card/fig into the new mobile game or not.

I would be very disappointed if they do something similar to character summoning in Fire Emblem :( giving that many villagers in the game, it would be very challenging to get popular villagers.

I think i'll probably just be a HHD port tbh. Or just a bunch of animal crossing related minigames compiled together to make a game, honestly as much as having AC on a mobile app is cool, I don't have high hopes for it. There will probably be pay to play content in it, or it'll be the type of game that you have to come back to in a couple of hours in order to get certain things done.
