Is the Bulletin Board still used?

I've noticed the Bulletin Board hasn't been posted on since the first day... Is that a feature that's simply not used anymore? I used to enjoy reading the random notes made on there, and it was especially useful for animal's birthdays/events/etc...

Any TTers know whether it does eventually get new posts? Seems a little disappointing, especially as I rarely ever use it to post on myself.

Yes! Other users have stated that it's used to announce some specific events (like tournaments or birthdays). We'll also have to see if Bunny Day (on the 12th) will be announced there.

Oh good! Glad to know it's still in use, even if less often than other games.

They announced my birthday is coming up, I guess it's the same for villagers' birthdays.

My bulletin board has also been empty. It has not been updated for events or birthdays as others have suggested.

One of my villagers had a birthday, and the only reason I knew was because Tom Nook announced it in the morning.

It still gets used, but not nearly as much as it was in earlier games.

it’s definitely playing a more minor role this time around - seems like it’s only used for important notices and for your friends to leave messages

I was wondering this myself lol, even though I love Isabelle giving the announcements, it would've been odd to have the board unused.
