So I live in the UK, and have the game bundle (with the card reader, so it costs ?40) on pre-order and am basically wondering if it's worth getting it now, or if I should wait to get it, or if it's even worth it at all!

I mean, I like designing my house in the game and stuff, but I've read people's comments saying that the game is just boring and repetitive, and have just started wondering if it's really worth the initial cost, then the ridiculous price for all the cards! (About ?5 for 3)

Let me know what you guys think of the game (And if you haven't got it, please don't vote...)

(I don't have the game, but my opinion [I didn't vote in the poll]) I want the game because I can have all my favourite villagers at once and I can't lose them because they won't move out. Plus I want to get cards I like, UK has expensive as cards so I suggest waiting and importing from elsewhere like JP or NA

I haven't got it but I am keeping my pre-order because I already have it for something cheap. I preordered the NFC reader bundle for ?32 which didn't include that Happy Home Designer case and cleaner and stylus and things (I don't need it and don't really want to spend ?8 for it). Considering the NFC reader costs about ?15-?20 separate, then the game itself is maybe only ?20 or less which isn't full price for a game. Because it is that cheap in the bundle, I feel it will be worth it even if I don't spend too much time on it or get bored of it.

Also, the option of returning or trading for store credit is always available if you want to give it a try.

Oooooh, where have you ordered it from that you get the extra stylus and stuff?

I'm from the UK too and am buying the game but doing what Haydenn suggested and waiting to import the cards from eBay because they're crazy expensive.

I've got it on the Nintendo store! Though it's not really free aha And yeah, I've been looking on eBay, but even there they're (so far) Charging ?3 per card and ?7 shipping on top of that!

The game is a lot of fun, I'm definitely glad I got it.
I don't have any cards- (though I might ask for some for christmas or something), because I'm not convinced the cards are worth the money (at least not as an accessory to the game, but if you're one of those people that are really into series merch it's probably a different answer)

It's a super fun game! I just designed a house for Moe who is my baby <3 I made it exactly like his acnl house lolwhoops. I have a couple cards just because my friend gave me her doubles, but I'm waiting until Hanukkah for the reader.

I really want to try it, but from seeing the reviews (and not watching too many trailers to ruin the game or giveaway spoilers) I think I'm gonna wait until I can buy it used cheaply, since I don't want to spend that much for something that I might grow bored of after awhile.

On the other hand, I've always bought games a year after they're released to save money, so I can buy more, but that's just my opinion. :p

Thanks for the comments guys :) I'd like the thought of buying it later to save money, but tbh I'll probably just end up not buying it if I do that xD
My big thing is the cards still :/ But from what people have been saying, it seems you may be able to play the game without the cards? I'm confused!

I like the game, and I think I'll like it more as I learn how to do things and as I unlock various aspects of its potential. It is not ACNL, but what game is that good? None that I know of. It is still a good game IMO. I have 69 cards and another 18 on the way, which is a lot of cards. But I like the cards all by themselves (they are pretty!) so they have that added value for me that they might not have for others.

If it was me, I'd just pre-order the game (and maybe the card reader?) and cancel the cards and the kit. You don't really have to have the amiibo cards to play the game at all, and here in the US one comes with the game although I don't know if they do in the UK. The amiibo cards are fun to have, I admit. But they really aren't necessary, especially at first. I am thinking you could order some later once you have decided what you think about the game.

You literally design the outside and inside of houses. If that's boring to you, you won't like this game.

That said, it really hasn't gotten boring to me yet. It's still super fun! I've put 7 hours into it so far.
