Is the “I've Moved Out” glitch still a thing?

So I’m giving a friend one of my villagers by kicking them out via amiibo and today her villager was in boxes. She had someone take her villager today and she sent me a picture right after and the house said “I’ve moved out” on her villagers door. I thought this glitch was patched out but is it normal for that to happen right after someone takes your villager in boxes? I’m just concerned because she really wants my villager and want to pass the info to her.

The glitch was patched.

This is normal. When you adopt a villager out, their house will have the "Moved Out" message as a fail-safe to prevent other people from adopting the same villager. The villager will move out the following day and the house will be gone then. This has been a feature in the game since NL. It's only a glitch when the message displays for a villager set to move in or if a villager moves out seemingly randomly.
