is there a way to remove other players from my island?

i originally let my little brother play on my island as his own character - but now, after the change where you have to own acnh on BOTH accounts to play and not just own it on the console, i obviously can't open the game on his profile to remove his resident data in the settings. is there a way to remove his house from my island?

What you need to do is log in to your main profile, and on the title screen, hit - (minus) and an option to delete resident should pop up, from there, you just select his resident and delete it. You can't delete the resident representative or island this way. I don't have AC in my Switch atm, so I can't verify this works 100%, but this is what my research told me!

Side note, is what you're talking about for the digital version of the game? I have multiple profiles on my Switch for AC:NH, and only one copy of the game, but it's physical and it relatively recently let me on one of the other profiles.

yeah we have the digital version, which is why that limit is there i believe ive unfortunately tried that in the settings, and nook says he needs to meet with the other resident to discuss if they want to delete their data - then it just offers me the options "i understand" and "how do i delete my data?"

This is about digital games in general but is this switch the primary console? You might have to do this, log in as the profile you want to remove and delete the player character.
