Is there any bonus for pre-ordering digitally from the e-shop?

I pre-ordered the game because I couldn't wait to see that precious little icon in my menu.
But now I'm wondering if there's any actual incentive to do so (other than having the icon officially added to the game library faster). I can't seem to find anything. I hope there's at least some reward for it in-game but who knows.

Nope. Just early access if you live in an earlier time zone than the first one in your region to hit midnight.

Not that I know of? Only if you bought a download code in a retail location and they had a bonus gift upon purchase. The only real benefit you get for purchasing digital is you can play it a couple hours earlier.

Nope I never seen that. Usually the preorder bonuses are for the physical copy.

Nothing monetary, but you get to download the game before the release (such as today), and then play it on March 20th of your region, such as 9pm on March 19th PST for NA. This way you don't have to wake up Friday and worry about going out to a store, or waiting for a courier.

I was hoping for something like an in-game t-shirt or accessory to make it more special but didn't think so based on what I saw.

I know the UK nintendo store offered pin badges and such for people who bought the digital copy as well. Believe they would need to pay the shipping for the item though.

Yes.
Like was mentioned above, you are given a week long free trial of Nintendo’s online services. I believe they also offer two weeks free to everyone, so with the digital download you can have three weeks unpaid for.

Not that exciting compared to some of the physical things, but it’s something

I didnt think any of the US preorders where exciting so now I dont have to wait or drive to the store which is a bonus enough for me
