this is what i'm trying to achieve. obviously, it is quite the challenge. however, having redd in my shopping district made things a lot easier. but, is there anyone who has the completed gallery? if so, how long did it take? please let me know! :)

Almost just 1 piece left the great statue.

Been a lot easier since harv island redd restocks When you by 1 next day.

I already know I'm not going to achieve this because I know I've traveled time at least once.

My Redd keeps selling me the same 5-6 peices over and over again. I think I have 10 more to go.
I gotta start checking daily again.

I finshed mine sometime last year. I do time travel but not for getting art. But honestly I bought a good chunk of it from a guy named jhine who used to have a shop on here. It still took a while because he was selling art for 10 tbt each but you could buy up to 2 items a day for 1 tbt each so I bought 2 pieces a day until I got them all. Yes I am cheap lol

Just to get this out of way once you complete the Museum you just get a simple "Congrats" from Blathers and you don't get any sort of special reward.

don't you get the posters for the completed exhibits?

It is a lot faster to complete if and only if you have others to trade with. That's how I completed mine without time travel. The Redd update was released on April 23, 2020 and I completed my art gallery on June 11, 2020.

Of course, "fast" is relative. I bought some from others, while others I traded. I actively went to other forums, even tried Nookazon, and I think I got some on here as well. I got some on giveaways, and others are just kind and helped me (bless them) especially the statues. Trading is waaaaaaaaay faster rather than relying on Redd's visits and stock alone.

If you have enough TBT, you can even buy everything here (on the Nook's Cranny subforum) in a single day.

If I'm a new player, I'd say Redd's shop on the commune is definitely a blessing, especially since you are guaranteed to get at most 2 genuine art from him every week (if you keep buying everything).

Yes you have to have a completed art exhibit to get the poster.

First, this is wrong. 2 pieces of furniture become unlocked once you complete the exhibit. Secondly, maybe the OP didn't want to know what they get once they finished, so maybe add spoiler warnings next time. Lastly, even if it was just a 'Congrats' that might be enough for some people. Not everyone expects the world from this game.

I don’t usually time travel (but occasionally I travel one day, just to get to the next). I’ve been playing since around release, and my art exhibit is only about half-full, but I haven’t been very dedicated to completing it! I also bought some of the paintings from a TBT store. However, having Redd on Harv’s Island has definitely helped, and he was the first shop I unlocked!

I’m not much help, but good luck trying to complete your art gallery! 🌟

I'm close, just missing the valiant statue. Somehow that thing never showed up at all until earlier this year, not even the fake one.

I was able to complete it a while ago because I play very regularly with a group of friends and we trade back and forth whenever Redd is on anyone's island, or if he has something new on Harv's island.

I TT like heck yet my art exhibit isn't complete. I'm missing like 1 painting and 2 or 3 statues. I did do some trading here before, thou not much, and not all of it was for genuine stuff either.

Having Redd does help, and buying his stuff even if you don't need it could speed up the process since he'll add in a new item the next day. Trading on the forums would also greatly help.
