Is this a glitch?

So I went by my plaza just now and noticed that my town tree looks like this.

But I know that the tree is supposed to be at this size.

Is my game glitching or is this supposed to happen because we're nearing December? Last night, I did TT into December 1st and the tree had its leaves fallen off already, so is this supposed to happen that the leaves are starting to fall off? I can still sit beneath it and see the history of my town.

I don't really want to TT back to check because I have about another day or so before a villager pings me to move and I don't want to risk anything.

Okay. I was getting really worried because I've TTed before at least a month forward (to regrow grass) and then back to present day and this has never happened to me before.

I hope it's just because the seasons are changing. ^^

It is just the leaves that have fallen, thus it looks like as if the tree is smaller but actually it isn't :3

It is definitely because the season is changing.. You won't have any leaves when Winter rolls around .. Snow will be on there with only like two leaves after December 11th (the day when snow lays)

Oh thank goodness that's just because of the seasons changing. I know that there are no leaves in December when I TTed there last night. But I guess it makes sense that the tree is losing leaves because it is fall.

I was looking at a guide on Gamefaqs and it says that the blizzard will be on December 10. December 11 and on will have the snowballs and snow covering everything.

Last night, I only TTed to December 1st so I didn't get to see my town in snow. ):
