Is it okay to host TBT/collectible giveaways if it requires donating real money? I've been seeing these kind of giveaways more often more recently. In order to win these giveaways, you have to donate real money to some organization. I kinda hate it where I have to pay real money to get virtual items or art done on the computer, even if we aren't trading real currency for TBT Bells or collectibles. I can do anything to earn TBT Bells from other people, but there's no way I would spend my money on charities advertised on forums like TBT. I don't mind donating to charity, but I don't like that I have to spend real money on TBt items.

People shouldn't be spending real money for collectibles. That's against our rules.

The only time you can spend real money for anything is art.

Does that also mean you can't host giveaways that require donations of any kind using real money? You should see some of the giveaway threads to see what I'm talking about.

No, I'm not hosting any, nor do I even want to host them.

I actually would like to see some of them because that's still against the rules.

In a private message, please.

Since I learned that the rules are under review (and that the thread in question was closed), I think this thread can close too.
