Festive Fossil
The villagers gathered around the Town Hall, where Tom Nook and Isabelle were waiting for them. Tom had his hands clasped behind his back with a wide smile on his face. Isabelle stood a little further back, staring at the back of Tom’s head with a look of concern on her face.
“Good, good, you’re all here,” Tom said, scanning the crowd as they came to stand around him. “I need to make a very important announcement.” He turned his head, looking at each of the villagers gathered around him in turn, waiting for one of them to say something. No-one did.
“I like to consider myself a generous man. Some of you didn’t even have a bell to your name when first moving to this island, yet I let you come along with me with nothing but your word that you would find a way to pay me back. And to your credit, you did. So I built your tents into houses. Then I made your houses bigger, and bigger and bigger, and each time you paid off your loans, until… your houses could not get bigger, and the loan was no longer an obstacle for the next expansion. The payments have stopped completely. You owe me nearly three million bells each and I’ve not seen a penny from any of you for months.”
Isabelle shuffled backward slowly, but the bell on her head jingled and gave her away. Tom turned his head to look at her but said nothing. He withdrew his hands from his back, revealing the towel he was holding, and the red stains covering it.
“So, I’ve had to hire a little help. They’ve been told they can use whatever means necessary to collect on your debts. If even that doesn’t work… they’ve been asked to take care of you for me, once and for all. In return, they will be relieved of their own debts.”
“W-What?” Someone from the crowd stuttered. Tom turned to them and simply smiled.
“Of course, of course, I know picking my help at random without giving the rest of you the chance sounds most unfair, so we are going to play a little game. Each day, you as a group shall pick a single member you believe to be my hired help. If you can find all of my little goons before they find you, I will forget all about this little ordeal and never ask for a single bell from any of you ever again.”
“What will you do to your help if we find them?”
“Oh, nothing worse than they’d do to you. You’re lucky, there’s one less after you than I intended. Your friend Gayle was simply too kind and polite to take part in this game. Oh, don’t worry about her. It’s yourselves you need to be worried about. Now, chop chop, I want your first vote in by the end of the day.”

Blackmailer - Day action. Prevents 1 person's vote from counting. Can blackmail fellow teammates, but not themselves.
Godfather - Appears a vanilla townie when investigated by a cop.
Vig - Night action. Can pick someone to kill at night. If the vigi is killed, their target will not die.
Lucky - Once, the Lucky can survive an attack without the aid of the doctor. A story and clue will be provided with this attack.
Cop - Night action. Investigated a person to determine their alignment (or role)
Doctor - Protects a person from death if they are attacked. Cannot protect the same person twice in a row. Can self-protect. A story and clue will be provided for a successful save.
Godfather - Appears a vanilla townie when investigated by a cop.
Vig - Night action. Can pick someone to kill at night. If the vigi is killed, their target will not die.
