Islands within rivers and lakes

For those who unlocked the terrain editing feature, what do you think of building islands in the middle of a river or a lake?

I actually like this idea. In fact, I even made one, and planned on putting one of my human characters on that island.

Ive made little tiny ones just because i thought they looked pretty

Ive thought about making large islands with a building or something on them but I’m not going to do that this second since im afraid ill end up not liking it and spending forever putting it back how it was.

Not right now since it’s not finished yet, but I’ll post some when I do. It’ll be a couple days until I’m done.

I haven't been able to terraform yet, but my island has a little river island in the middle! It's cute. I have a bunch of bamboo growing there

My map had one originally, but I terraformed it out. It just wasn't working with what I had in mind. That being said, I do think they're adorable and will love seeing them on other people's islands!

My brother's island actually came with a pretty sizable island in the middle of the island! It looks really cool.

As for myself I probably won't do too much with the terraforming, so I doubt I'll do something like this.
