I remember hearing about it and being excited and finally getting it back in 2008. Now it's already been 4 years almost. Time sure does fly by...

No. I can't even remember searching up the internet for it all around the clock, which I did.
It feels so long ago, but maybe that's just me. Could be because I was in my teenage years back then, which also feels far away now. :)

I sort of remember it being advertised on telvision in 2008 when it was first released. Woah.... that's a while

I remember it being advertised as well. I really wish I got it earlier, I got it September 2011.

I got it when it came out.

I really enjoy AC. It has never made me feel like this around video games. You did great Nintendo, you did great.

Whoa, 4 years? That's almost a third of my lifetime! Hard to believe. It's kinda scary how time flies so fast! :D

Not really. The past four years have gone by considerably well paced, and four years really isn't that long of a time.

Now if you wanna go and say that it's hard to believe that the series is eleven years old, then yeah. That's a pretty long time.
To be honest, when I first played AC and had never, ever even cared about the internet I never could have imagined I'd have spent four years of my life on a site dedicated to it in the future.

It kinda feels like a long time ago, but at the same time, it doesn't. I still remember my first few days here, it was amazing seeing all these "Gate's open" threads.

Speaking of that, someone is going to have to mess around with the forum a bit.
There are no longer gates, and I doubt many people will still be playing City Folk very much at that point.

Yes I remember when it came out in '08

I remember lurkin the forums god I miss those times

You didn't post much when you joined, did you Bidoof?

I was really nervous to post. lol
first time ever being on a forum. and then everyone thought I was a girl. XD

I don't think I posted for a few months haha

edit
actually I think I made like one post and then lurked for a few months then posted again, but I'm fairly certain I didnt make a welcome thread.

I don't remember seeing an intro thread for you. I'm not even sure if I made one either.
what surprised me most was seeing you being active after a while, never knowing you had an account, and you joined the same day I did. lol

Speaking of lurking as well, over half of the people on TBT don't have accounts. They're all guests.

Alternatively, it's been nearly 7 years since Wild World came out. Honestly, I can relate to that game a lot more than City Folk.

As Prof Gallows said: I never could have imagined that I'd spend 7 years (well, obviously not active the entire time but still to some degree...) on a website dedicated to Animal Crossing.

too bad they didn't celebrate Japanese Animal Forest's 10th birthday N64 or Gamecube on that day....

maybe the us release of GC?

It isn't so weird because it came out when I was still a freshman in high school, and that seems like ages ago to me. Ever since they showed AC 3DS at E3, I was becoming aware of City Folk's aging.

I can't believe it's be 7 years since Wild World. I still remember playing the heck out of that game.

Iknow!!!

I cant believe that either i was going to buy a new accf book like a month ago cuz mine was all torn . then they didnt have it at walmart nor gamestop so i was like how old is this (thinking...) WHAT 4 years old dang lol
