"I've Moved Out" house disappeared!

So, I lost Audie to the newest glitch, heartbroken. I had someone who was going to give her to me, she agreed to move in but her in place, Lucky moved in. Immediately the next day it said that he had moved out but his house was still there. I had TT'd a couple of days and it didn't disappear.

I saw a comment on Reddit from someone who was experiencing the same thing but they reported that villager to Isabelle and a few days later, their house has disappeared. So I gave it a shot, did both wearing/saying and a couple of days TTing later, Lucky's house was gone and I was able to Marshal into it (from an island) no problem!

I wonder why this happened? I tried moving Lucky's house but he wouldn't show up on the list of villagers with Nook but he absolutely did for Isabelle.

My friend got Freya from me during a natural move out (accidentally, we're presuming, due to bme selling her to someone else. So an oddball to begin with). This was a few days ago and she never time travels and suddenly she had the "I've moved out" for Freya. I shared this with her but she sounds to freaked out to try -_-

Did you complain to Isabelle once or did you have to do it a few times?

Oh wow, I should've tried complaining to Isabelle more than once and TTing for a few days, then! I had a glitched Lily plot from a super similar situation and just tried complaining to Isabelle once and then TTing one day per someone else's suggestion but it didn't work and was one of a gazillion things I'd tried, so I ended up just giving up and taking the risk of forcing her out with an amiibo card (which did work). Guess I should've been more patient, I'm glad you got it to work! Also I thought I was the only one having the issue of trying to move Lily's house but her not showing up on the list and it was driving me crazy lol

Did you complain to Isabelle once or did you have to do it a few times?

I complained three times because I have terrible memory and couldn't remember if I did one time before but I made to complain about what they were saying/wearing.

Just the house, I was surprised to see it gone. I've since moved Marshal into that spot no problem.

I think everyone should just put a halt on villager trading/selling until this glitch is fixed. I wouldn't want to see anymore unfortunate stories like this one.

I know that the game has a natural mechanic where if a villager is adopted from your town, then there will be an "I've moved out!" sign on their house for the rest of the day after they're adopted so no one else can adopt them. The house will disappear the next day and turn into an empty lot. This happened to me earlier this week with a natural move out Victoria and I thought it was a glitch, but a lot of redditers told me it was normal and the house would be gone the next day. They were right!

There is a glitch that sometimes happens when adopting another villager into your town, not from your town.

I adopted Audie from someone, instead, Lucky took her place and then he immediately moved out of my island the next day (mind you he didn't even show up in boxes, I never once saw him on my island and he definitely never asked me to move out) and it already said he moved out. I am not talking about the normal mechanic of an animal moving out.

what if the synchronisation got bugged because you time traveled and the other town not?
maybe there is a synchronisation between towns, day by day untill the character moved out there and comes to you
to avoid the villager being active in 2 towns
and because you couldn't wait you forced the game to chose another villager because audie wasn't synched to be away on the other town

tt or not it shouldn’t be an issue or a factor... like said people who don’t tt faced this problem.

the game is coded to have you be able to visit your friends on THEIR timezone. so it shouldn’t matter if it’s too far ahead or a different day, ergo same day is out of mechanics if it’s not your town. it’s a part of their coding that shouldn’t have messed it up. if that’s the case it would bug as well when you trade items or join the fishing tourney with friends and come back because of different timezones.

adding to the replies above: i tt myself, my friend doesn't. i was nowhere near the right date when i got to pick up coco from her and had her move in (coco was invited into the town via amiibo and forced out by a skye amiibo, so i knew what risk i was up for anyway), and she has been in my town for quite a while now and exists just fine. no glitch, no anything for me - the only thing that happened to my friend is that skye's house has coco's exterior, but we both knew what we're putting up with. what i'm saying is: it doesn't seem to be about tt in that case, just an unlucky combination of us being dorks and using currently bugged features. so i don't see why it should be about tt in this case, really.

So I can’t TT I can only change the time zone, but I went to report my villager I had just sold since it’s the next day now, it’s 4:00 am and she was sold at 3:00 pm yesterday, but she wasn’t on the list of villagers I could report. Is that a good sign or a bad sign?

So I can’t TT I can only change the time zone, but I went to report my villager I had just sold since it’s the next day now, it’s 4:00 am and she was sold at 3:00 pm yesterday, but she wasn’t on the list of villagers I could report. Is that a good sign or a bad sign?

This thread is for a bug that was in the game for a couple months after launch. It's been fixed for some time now, so you won't need to worry about triggering it on your save as long as you aren't on a really old version of the game. The days reset at 5am IIRC, so check out the house on or after 5am on the 25th
