Day 80! Again, I waited far to long to post it, but better late than never, right? So today was the final day in Washington DC. It began with a trip to the White House. We actually didn't get to tour it, but we walked outside it (as well as Lafayette park, which was very cool) It was neat seeing snipers on top of the building! Haha. Afterwards, we went to Joe's Souvineer Shop. Funny story, we went there a few days before to get souvineers... And I left my sunglasses there. It was too late to go back, so I checked if they were still there today... They weren't. Oh well, they weren't too expensive, haha. Anyway, I went to Ford's Theater instead and bought a book for my souvineer! Next, we went to the Vietnam Wall. Because I didn't have any relatives that fought in Vietnam, it didn't have as strong of a meaning to me... But seeing all those names was pretty powerful. My dad and I went to the Lincoln Memorial instead where I got a very cool picture of me holding the Washington Monument. Afterwards, we went to the Holocaust Museum (after eating at the Smithsonian!) Unlike many people, I took my time and read a lot of information. It was emotionally draining, but very informative. Then, I went to the American History museum and bought myself an Ocarina as a souvineer. I'm trying to learn how to play it, but it's not going too well, haha oh well. Then, we left for home. On the way, we watched two movies and I talked with my friends a lot. This night ended with us on the bus, so I will explain more in tomorrow's blog. Until then, seeya! And I promise, I WILL be caught up if it's the last thing I do! Just need some dedication!
