Hi everyone! I'm Riseha!
I really enjoyed the Club Tortimer International feature, but I realize how hard to communicate with others when you don't speak the same language. So I thought it would be cool to have a Useful Japanese Phrases guide up here to help people out! But, I only took one year of Japanese in university, so I am not fluent in the language. I found helpful phrases off other sites, so most of this is a compliation of relevant to AC:NL Club Tortimer information. If there needs to be any corrections, please let me know!

Edit: Unfortunately, the board censored out some stuff because they are swears in english, haha. To fix this, I will be placing a period in the middle of the word.
Example: Hajimemashi.te!

This is very useful! Thank you for this! I'm sure many of the Club Tortimer members will definitely have this in handy when meeting players from Japan.

Man, this only made me realize how annoying it is that Western ACers don't get Japanese keyboards. *cough stupid western/american imperialism cough*. Even though I'd have no idea what is what, at least I've be forced to learn instead of vice-versa. I feel bad they have to learn Kanji/Kana AND our alphabet...

Thanks for this, though I haven't been lucky enough to run into a Japanese player that can read Romanji. ._.

This guide just actually helped me make a Japanese friend. We exchanged codes ;__; I'm so happy

Now he is giving me the 7-11 set what

Thank you so much for writing this! It'll prove to be useful once I get out of my comfort zone and decided to go visit a Club Tortimer island.

Ah, I was on the island today and I was looking forever to find this! I know its old but i think the bump will still be helpful and relevant?
Subscribed so i dont lose it again! > 3 <

Thanks for this thread! I'm actually trying to learn Japanese myself, but I only know how to read it and some of the words. It's a shame they didn't including Japanese characters for this game, it really would've been useful for me.
