have a 1,000 character limit?

if there's a reason for it, i understand.
but why is it so low?

it's just that things have been limited already.. private messages.. images in the sig.. etc, that have been sold in the shop for some reason.. wasn't sure if this was "to be" or something.

I'm sure it's changeable. My guess is he doesn't want people posting huge posts that'll cause extra long scroll bars.

Well that's the thing, pages of threads are calculated by the number of posts on the page, not how long the posts are within the page. I assume he'd prefer you to be triple posting than posting a 10,000 character long post.

not that there will be an awful lot of 10,000 character posts going on, here, but i think that double posting would be worse than a huge post. to prevent spammers spamming huge walls of text is odd to bring up, too, because they can spam posts, messing up not only one page, but multiple pages, easily. i dunno. just feels more restricted than need be.

one thing that would make it nicer is a post splitter, perhaps. or, even something that stopped you from typing past X amount of characters, so you didn't have to copy paste, check if what you typed was enough for one post, go back, read to where you were, copy the second half.. etc.

Ok then Raz is just Psycho (cwutididthar?), this is 1000 characters and it works fine.

Looking into it 10,000 is the default, set it to 0 to get infinite if you want storm, but I think 10,000 is reasonable lol

which should be unlimited, imo, as they require you to join the group, and are even more out of the way to spam.
