I’ve been having this issue where my screen gets jumpy like it’s not loading fast enough esp when I’m running fast. Today it was doing it really bad during the Bug Off. And it’s reaaaally bad if I go to a dream island. The game moves really slow and jumps. Does anyone else have this issue ?
I think I have the same problem, but it's because of lag. So far I know you have three options to try to fix it:
1. boost your internet connection (best option)
2. Reduce items you have been placed on your island (so it loads faster)
3. Increase the saving space of your switch (honestly I think it has not much a difference unless if your switch is totally packed)
Have you turned your Switch all the way off lately? Not just closing the game or putting the system to sleep, but actually shutting it down. If not, you might try that.
You might also try playing in airplane mode and see if that changes anything, because then you can at least rule out anything related to the internet. The Switch does seem to want to talk to the internet all the time, even when you're not actively using it in a game, if it's connected. Checking for updates and things, I suppose.
If neither of those things helps, please post again, and maybe someone will be able to help you figure out what's going on with your game.
I found this with my game even tho I didn’t have a bunch of items around and my wifi was find. I found it was worse on windy days. I found that reducing the amount of patterns I had on the floor helped a lot.
ive actually noticed that same issue when i visit other peoples islands that are full of decorations; and i mean theres almost every square inch of their island that has something on it. ive also found this happens on my own island if i put too many objects in one place. i dont know if thats whats happening if you have a good internet provider though, because the other folks here make a good point about that.
If your island has too many flowers, custom designs, and/or outdoor furniture, it will definitely lag. Especially if these things are grouped together.
