I've been thinking about selling off all the flowers I have in my town except roses. And I was just curious if anyone felt the way I feel about the flowers in New Leaf.
I really don't like any of the flowers besides roses. I have all of the types of roses, aside from golden roses, simply because I don't play daily, and I hate time traveling. I know I'd lose all my roses within a week! I just find the violets and lilies annoying. I can't tell the difference between them. And I don't find the cosmos or pansies pretty at all.
I would totally sell my flowers too, but then I'd have so much space. Half of my town has roses.
But then again I think it would look pretty. To have a red, yellow, and white section of roses, then a blue, purple and pink section, and then a black orange, and gold section specifically for Halloween.
I may be over thinking it, but I just wanted to know if anyone else feels the same way I do about roses? ;w;
i think roses are the prettiest but i think alot of the different flowers have charm. I don't think i like most of he hybrids in other flowers as much as i like the plain colours. I think white and yellow pansies are cute, and i think the white lilies are very elegant.
For some reason, I'm the opposite of you, OP! I don't really like the roses. The red and white roses are OK, and the blue and black roses are kinda cool-looking, but I HATE yellow roses with a passion.
I do love lilies though haha. White lilies, black lilies, red lilies, and pink lilies are all great to me. I despise yellow lilies. Same with pansies - no to yellow, and yes to red, blue, and white. Orange is OK. :/
I especially like black lilies after being watered, you can see their anthers so clearly, I think they're so pretty.
roses are my second least favorite flowers, personally. I like them in pink and purple, but that's about it. still not the biggest fan. I much prefer lilies. and violets.
but everyone's got different opinions about flowers. some people really love pansies, while I'm not a fan.
I like tulips the most. Someday I will have only tulips in my town, but I still have more important things to do before I start messing around with the kind of flowers I have in Majula. Roses are fine and pansies are my least favorite flowers in the game. I like carnations too but too lazy to breed them.
i love tulips, roses, and carnations. pansies are ugly to me, cosmos are okay, and the lilies/violets are flowers i can definitely do without.
anyway, your idea is achievable and sounds pretty great. it's your town, so you should do whatever you think is best. if you sell all the non-roses, make sure to put your roses in diagonal/side-by-side patterns so that hybrids can produce. since you don't time travel, it'll take a lot longer, but if that bothers you, you can also buy roses on our TBT marketplace/re-tail forum!
I don't mind the flowers but I get rid of the yellow ones. They irritate me so much.... dunno why. I plan on keeping only hybrids. This will keep me playing for months to grow them all!
