Just another newbie trying to make friends!

Hi everyone! My name is Kelsey. This is my first time joining a forum in general and my first Animal Crossing game so please excuse any desperation in making friends, dumb questions, and my slight social anxiety... I've been trying to become part of the ACNL family, but I'm still a bit shy to reach out for help and such. I'm still trying to learn the ropes of the game and make my town as adorably neat as some of the others I've seen on tumblr. I have yet to really make friends/exchange codes so I've only visited one other town so far, but I'd love to make some new friends and admire some new towns.

Welcome to the forums! I'm Avalon :3 I love seeing towns too, and I use the dream suite often to do so. I also love the Dream suite cause I love the designs people make. I'm using a grass design for my town right now, it's taking ages to spread out.

Hello there! I remember being a newbie, this was my first forum EVER. I was confused and friendless and alone and I didn't know much at all. I was so upset I stopped using it for a while. Then I just decided to start interacting with the forum people again. Now, my New Year's resolution was to use it less, but it got WORSE! I'm just not able to close this website and not use it for more than 24 hours! It's crazy. Anyway, when I see a post like this, I can't help but friend the person. Also, you don't need to make your town all neat. I can't even make hybrids! XD Anyway, the only dumb question is one that's never asked, you don't have desperation for friends as long as you don't have more than 2 posts asking for friends, than it's desperation, and your "slight social anxiety" can go on the blog tree. My advice: join a group, post in the blog tree often, post in general a lot, make a signature, make a user title, and select an avatar. That's the best way to show off who YOU are without sharing too much. It's the best way to settle in. Good luck! Oh, and if you have a question on the forum and you post the question but there are no answers, feel free to ask me! I'm just trying to be helpful and I feel like you're a good person to help. Not that the other newbies aren't, you are just easiest to help. Have fun and don't push yourself to be a well-known user.

Avalon: Hello! I can't wait until I get the Dream Suite. I've heard so much about it; it must be so fun seeing so many towns! I'm not even sure of all the different things in ACNL, but I'm getting there. I'm really obsessed with fishing right now. The little aquarium is my favorite place and I just got the island yesterday so I've been having a field day collecting sea life for my home. I especially love the wee little squid. THERE'S A DEER VILLAGER?! Oh goodness, I need to see that. I just love deer! I want the little rhino character with the strawberry horn, but I think my favorite person in my town is Reese... She's too cute!

Big Forum User: I've never really been big on foruming because I can't either never fit in or understand how it works, lol. This is the first one that I've ever purposely sought out and made a point to join because I just really want to get the most out of my game. I would love to actually frequent a forum! But I know how it is trying to distance yourself from a site, but finding yourself get more attached. That's basically my relationship with tumblr. But I've gotten a lot better with it though because now I spend too much time on ACNL. Thank you so much for friending me! Yay! I don't even understand how some people have such incredible towns; it's mind-blowing to me when I see some of the screenshots and I'm over here proud of my apple trees growing! I'll definitely be taking your advice (which means a lot to me, thank you!); I'll probably be doing some exploring today. I'll probably be messaging you with some questions sooner or later.

Drexyia: Hi! I think I'll like it here! It seems a lot more relaxed and fun. Some of the other forums I considered joining seemed so much more...complicated and I just couldn't post to save my life because people would be so rude since I'm so new and the game is "so old" and all that. You guys are all so sweet and welcoming so I don't feel as bad for being new. And thank you! I will definitely message you if I have any questions.
