just deleted my town

When I got the game a day early, I just couldn't get a map I really like. But I started the game and had nearly 100 percent... donated already about 40 things to the museum... payed off my first expansion... but I felt like it is almost too late to restart... and had doubts about if I could be happy with that map... It had too many ponds, an awkward beach, stupid villagers, placed my house wrongly :/ and now I deleted it and feel bad. Hope to get a good map now.

Anyone in the same situation?

The same thing happened to me on my first day. I had an annoying pond right below the train station and nearly the same villagers as a couple of my friends. I felt bad for demolishing my town at first, but soon got over it. It was for the best. lol

I messed up my house placement the second time around, however it's not worth restarting for. I'm thinking of building Brewster's cafe in the other area instead. I guess it's better to restart now, on your first day, as opposed to playing through the first week. (assuming you don't TT)

I hope you find a layout that suits your preferences.

I wouldn't delete my town, I've already spent 64 hours on it!

I really wanted my town to start on release and I thought I was good but little things kept bothering me. I ended up starting over on the 10th. I'm still kicking myself, but I had to start it over. I spent about 8 hours straight going through maps until I found one I liked. It sucks I started on the 10th instead of the 9th, but overall, I think I can make this map work for a year. I just need to boot out some stupid villagers and get the ones I want in

I did the same thing, but I set the date back to the day that I originally started my file (the 8th) played through a couple of hours, then went to the next day until I caught up with the regular time. Then no more time travel. Now it's just like I never reset my progress, just a nice town.

I did the same thing. I just wasn't quite fully satisfied. I restarted and don't regret a thing! I'm so so so happy with my new character face and new map. Once you are satisfied with those things the rest will come and you will eventually be further than you were.
