Heyaa, ardrey and I have started up some collab options for my Temp shop I have. I've had problems with lining due to my crappy pre-set Sai I have and my laptop is being a butt and doesn't let me fix it, so until I can figure it out, ardrey and I are working together (woo!)
What we do is I sketch out the order, then send the file over to her and she lines it for me, then sends it back and I color (and shade) the piece and BAM it's complete!!
I've recently gotten a couple RLC suggestions/requests for the options, so we've decided to open up a thread to get some of your guy's opinions.
We've already gotten an offer of $10 - $15 for a chibi, but we wanted to see what more of you guys thought!
(I've talked enough, so here's the art!)

Pricing suggestion: affordable
I feel like chibis should be anywhere from $5-$10 depending on complexity, flat headshots $15-$20, and shaded well over $25 bc omg that detail Q.Q

But then again I'm terrible at pricing sooo xD

Yeah, I'm so bad at pricing too, any art piece I made if I priced it over $20 I felt so overpriced.
But damn, that's a lot!! Will keep under consideration!

I feel that chibis should be around $5-$10, maybe even a little more depending on how it looks overall and complexity like Pokemanz said. Flat head shots around $10-15, and the shaded ones at least $20 imo. I'm sorry, I'm awful at pricing xD'

No worries, tysm for the input ^^

Chibis: $5
Head shots: $10
Shaded Head shots: $15

Just so more people can afford them XD.

Yeah. I would buy, but I $0. :(

I also do think $19.99+ is too much.

It's all perspective since pretty much the artist is making mere pennies with such low prices. Not a huge deal for artists who do it for fun or as a hobby, but it does matter if you actually want to live on it. There is always that fine line of how much people are willing to spend vs. how much the artist values their time.

Artists that tend to charge higher prices value their time more. It's annoying for commissioners since most would rather pay as little as possible for something, but still get great quality art. Quality vs. Quantity doesn't always add up. Most of the time if you want something REALLY high quality, you have to pay for it.

@Kain & ardrey: I'm honestly not sure on pricing since I can't buy RLCs at this time, but if it helps... keep in mind, what's more important -- quantity or quality? No, you can't have both. If you want more business, you can price lower and hope that the number of commissions will make up for the fact that you charge a lower price for it.

It sucks when artists undervalue themselves, but it's something that pretty much ends up happening in general. People are willing to pay higher prices, if they REALLY want your art. Though, keep in mind that as the price goes up, fewer people are willing to pay, even if they love your work.

Yes that's very true, thanks Pengu <3 I personally do think lower prices are better in this situation cuz the audience we're speaking to matters as well. It seems to me like most of the people on TBT are either kids or have families to support. So I think The Final Light of Dawn's prices are pretty good, but it's up to Kain c:

Yeah, it's always nice to see such high suggestions, but it does make it really limited. I think kinda in between the suggestions will be good ^^ Thanks for the help guys (and of course if you wanntt to pay more we won't refuse it... LOL)
