Katamari on Switch?

I'm thinking of getting Katamari Damacy ReRoll for the Switch but I don't know if it's worth it. My main concern is how the joycons hold up, especially with all the issues with drift. I've also seen complaints that the controls on Switch are waaay less intuitive and feel weird, is that true? How does it compare to just playing the PC version with a gamepad? The main difference seems to be the tabletop mode and that actually sounds pretty fun but I don't know how good/bad it is. Anyone care to share their experience with it? Thanks

I didn’t really have any issues with it, the controls are a little awkward but as I only played on switch I can’t tell if it’s any more so than on pc. It definitely feels like part of the chaotic fun of it it’s quite a short game, but you can return to it to try to find the hidden presents ~

Thanks! I've played Katamari games on PS2 so I'm familiar with the game but I'm really worried that the Switch controls might be more annoying than funny and chaotic, so it's good to know it's not that bad. I really want to play Katamari on a big TV screen so that's another point for the Switch version. Do you think it's too hard on the Joycons? That's my main concern since they're so fragile.

I honestly don't know what did my joycons in, seeing as i've played many more hours in acnh than Katamari i feel like animal crossing may be more to blame, but maybe it was going too hard on katamari

The controls are pretty similar to the PS2 version imo so if you’ve played it on there, I think it won’t feel too different? It definitely isn’t intuitive haha

I don’t think it’s too hard on the joycons since the game honestly isn’t too long haha.. I think mine took a bigger hit from splatoon and smash

Huh. I think the PS2 controls are pretty intuitive so if it's similar I'll probably enjoy it!

Thanks to everyone who replied. Good to know it's probably not that bad for the joycons, I might get it on Switch if that's the case.

I really really loved the Katamari games for the PS2, and I didn't have any problems playing Reroll on Switch. The controls are pretty much the same. I can definitely recommend it, it's a good time! Really hope they port We ❤ Katamari too.
